§ 3.4. Analytical Service

    The heart of the Institute's analytical service is a Test & and Analytical Center, activities of which aim at investigating chemical compositions of substances and materials, employed and produced in the course of R&D works, and furnishing the Institute's technological labs with obtained results.

    Supported by Metrology Department, the Institute' Analytical Service updates standard documentation in the field of analytical control and works out State Standards on the methods for identification of Ni and Co chemical compositions as well as those of their compounds, issues calibration samples relating to the compositions of ores, intermediates and products of copper-nickel metallurgical operations.

    Test and Analytical Center is the leading Russian developer of calibration standards pertaining to the compositions of nickel, cobalt and copper oxides adopted by Norilsk Nickel's suppliers and customers.
