Gipronickel Institute is a major metallurgic research, development and design institute in Russia. Over 80 non-ferrous metals operations and units have been constructed projects and scientific development works performed at the Institute, such as nickel-cobalt operations; aluminium miming operations; tungsten-molybdenum operations; mercury-antimony units.
Beginning from February 2007 Norilsk and Kola subsidiaries started their activity as Gipronickel Institute branches. The subsidiaries were formed by take over of Noriskproject Institute, Mining and Metallurgical Experimental and Research Centre (MMERC) and Designing and Research Centre (DRC) of Kola M&MC.
