§ 2.15. Laboratory of raw material geological and technological study
The Laboratory of Raw Material Geological and Technological Study includes Sector of Raw Material Concentration and fulfils different work on geological, technological and material concentration themes. 8 members of the laboratory have a scientific degree of a Candidate in Mining & Mineralogy and a Candidate of Technical Science.
The equipment of the Laboratory provides fulfilment of a wide range of research work in mineralogy, petrography, minerals concentration, including crushing, grinding, gravity separation, flotation, benefication by magnetic and electric methods.
Mineralogical research is carried out with the use of modern microscopes, equipped with image analysis system, devices and analytical complexes for X-ray microanalysis, scanning microscopy.
Minerals analysis is carried out with the use of electronic scanning microscope CamScan IV having EDS spectrometer.
